Table of contents
Now this topic might seem silly, but the fact that you are here means that it too has relevance. There could be a few reasons for you to be here. The first reason you are here should be to save time. Another would be the question “How would I find a blog that’s interesting and relevant to me”. Fear not, these questions are going to be answered in the following section. Also the format of this article is such that you would be able to find the topic you want easily. Any good blog would be in the current format.
1. Finding a blog to read
This would be an easy part as for majority of the time you just need to google it. And if google gives you irrelevant data, try to be more specific or look for blogging sites. Some are given below :
Or even just the site you are currently leading this blog. Do remember that people can have their own custom domains too, that’s why the first sentence google it. The art of googling is another art to master.
2. Selecting a blog to read
Priority should always be given to authenticity and comfort
Finding a blog might seem easy, and it is if you want to just read and forget. It might seem okay if you are reading for fun, but it isn’t. One of the main reasons why we find a blog attractive would be its style of writing. At first, it might be the images, but that’s just for a first look. What you need to remember about the blog would be its contents. And for that you need to like the style of writing.
This would only be possible when you are reading about common topics as there wouldn’t be as many blogs to choose from when you are looking for uncommon topics. So whenever possible, do find an author whose style clicks with you and follow them.
3. How to read
Now this might seem pretty stupid, but bear through it and you might actually find something.
Headings : In a topic, headings will give you the idea of its contents and help you find what you are looking for faster
Key words (underlined, italics or bold) : In a good blog, you could always find keywords faster by just skimming through them
Errors : If you find an error in a technical blog, just stop reading abruptly. An error in these types of blogs means that the author isn’t serious about his work. You are only wasting time by reading these blogs.
When to stop : Stopping depends on the time constraints you are facing, when you are working with a deadline, it would be ideal to stop after finding what you were looking for. Do remember to bookmark the page in case you need to refer it again. Or you can save even more time by keeping it in the background.
